The book contains eight frank and evocative stories about the human condition. It describes the varied mix of situations and emotions that most people experience at some stage in their lives.

The stories, some of which are based on real events, cover a wide range of subjects and many, if not all of them, will be familiar to the reader. From bloodless domestic warfare, through the astonishing kindness of strangers; the power of music and dance; the loss of a loved one; the return of a prodigal; personal discovery and growth; to tales from everyone’s favourite social gathering – the wedding reception!

About the Author
Originally from Newcastle, Ian is now happily retired and living in Bristol. He has ‘scribbled’ all his life, mainly for the pleasure of friends and family, but has only recently begun writing full-time. His personal motto is: “You’re never too old and it’s never too late.”

Drawn from his broad experience of life, his stories explore the wide range of emotions that human beings experience – pain, loss, anger, sadness and joy. They are a collective attempt to describe, “The Human Condition”.

This is the first in a five book series of short stories and novellas.
